health & safety

we continue to maintain the highest standards in hygiene across the hotel. in order to minimise the risk and prevent the spread of covid-19, we have implemented strict hygiene procedures. these procedures have been developed in conjunction with direction from the health service executive (ireland) & world health organisation and include:

  • daily hotel team briefings to ensure enhanced operational protocols.
  • new operational measures across all departments.
  • increased frequency of cleaning in all areas & an additional sterilisation processes.
  • covid compliance officers in the hotel.
  • provision of alcohol-based sanitisers throughout our hotel.

flexible bookings

we offer a flexible booking policy on all standard rates available on thegibsonhotel.ie and we are making necessary adjustments to our individual booking policies to give you extra peace of mind.

hotel services

we continue to take guidance from the hse (ireland) on any further recommended restrictions. changes to our services include:

  • online check-in and online check-out for contactless experience.
  • detailed pre-stay email and welcome information.
  • rooms are sprayed with sterilising solution before and after each clean with seal attached to door to ensure room has not been accessed since being thoroughly cleaned.
  • touch point cleaning, extra disinfection of high touch areas including door handles, light switches, sockets and remote control.
  • de-clutter in-room amenities including guest directory, paper and pens.
  • room charge option for meals and drinks in our restaurants, room service and click & collect services.

restaurant & bar

in compliance with government requirements, hemi bar remains closed for beverage only service.  dining service will be available in hemi bar  & restaurant.

  • coda restaurant and our dining areas are setup with sufficient space between tables to allow physical distancing.
  • breakfast has been changed from buffet style to full table service.
  • all food and drink orders will be taken at your table and food will arrive covered by a cloche.
  • ‘click and collect’ and increased in-room dining options available.
  • we encourage cashless or contactless payments in the restaurant and lounge.
