completion of a booking implies acceptance and understanding of the terms and conditions listed below.


iSave@gibson is our exclusive member rate which is only available when you book online at in order to avail of this, you must sign up to gain access to the member rate and exclusive packages & offers. rates & promotional offers may vary by hotel & over time. certain packages & offers may exclude the iSave@gibson member rate.

hotel reservations

cancellation Policy:

to cancel your hotel booking, either manage your gibson hotel online reservation or contact the hotel direct by 2pm local time the day prior arrival. failure to do so will result in the first night’s accommodation being charged. any deposit or booking fees that have already been processed are also non-refundable.

non arrivals:

in the event of a guests non-arrival (no-show), the first night’s accommodation charge will be applied to the credit card that was used to guarantee the booking or billed backed to the company where credit facilities are established.


your credit card details are required to guarantee a reservation; however, no charge will be made at the time of booking (*excluding prepaid offers) . reservations cancelled outside of the cancellation policy will incur a penalty equivalent to one night’s stay which will be deducted from the credit card provided at the time of booking.

the gibson hotel reserves the right to pre-authorise cards prior to arrival. should the card decline, we also reserve the right to advise of this accordingly and request cancellation of the booking within the cancellation policy.

for prepaid offers, the full amount will be taken from the card provided at the time of booking and is non-refundable and non-transferable.

cash payments are welcome at the gibson hotel. if you choose to pay in cash upon arrival, a security deposit in the form of cash or a preauthorisation on a credit or debit card will be requested, along with photo id. acceptable identifications include passport or driving license.


child rates apply to children 2-12 years when sharing with adults. infants under 2 years stay free of charge. cots are available on request but cannot be guaranteed.

special instructions:

any special instructions you have submitted with your booking should relate to your reservation and are likely to be addressed on the day of your arrival. if you have any more pressing requests we would suggest you contact the hotel directly by email or phone.

bookings of 10 rooms or more: we reserve the right to request a deposit on bookings of 10 rooms or more and further terms & conditions may apply, for further details please contact the hotel directly.

Tips and Gratuities Notice

The gibson hotel is required by law under the Payment of Wages Act 1991 as amended to distribute to our employees any tips or gratuities received by us by electronic means and we are committed to our obligations under this referenced legislation and the associated SI 545 of 2022 Payment of Wages Act 1991 (Display of Notices) Regulations 2022.

Mandatory Charges

This hotel does not add a mandatory service charge to customers’ bill.

Gratuities/Tips (digital)

Gratuities/Tips, where collected by electronic means are distributed equally among the employees delivering service in the outlet where the gratuity / tip is collected.

Gratuities/Tips (cash)

All non-digital tips are distributed amongst the team fairly. The amount available for staff in the hotel is shared out through a system controlled by a staff representative.

Gift Card Terms and Conditions

  • Monetary gift cards can be exchanged for goods and services at the gibson hotel, Maldron Hotels, Clayton Hotels and selected partner hotels (The Samuel Hotel, Belvedere Hotel and Hotel 7).
  • Package gift cards can be used in the gibson hotel only and are subject to offer availability excluding event dates & Bank Holidays.
  • Gift cards are non-transferable and can be used as part or full payment. No change will be given.
  • Any remaining balance can be left on the card and spent on future purchases.
  • Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash.
  • Gift cards are not cheque guarantee, credit, debit or charge cards.
  • Gift cards are valid for 5 years from date of issue.
  • All bookings are subject to availability and the gibson hotel, Maldron Hotels, Clayton Hotels and Partner Hotels.
  • Dalata Hotel Group plc. will not be held liable for cards which have been lost or stolen.
