Do you offer early check-In?
Check-in is from 3.00pm sharp, but we totally get that sometimes you just can’t wait to start your stay. Early check-in is possible (subject to availability, of course), starting from 12.00pm for an additional charge. Want to guarantee your room is ready for our grand entrance? The surefire way is to book the night before- your future self will thank you!
Do you offer late check-out?
Our usual check out time is 11:00am. This gives us time to make sure the room is perfect for our new guests. But if you need a bit of extra shut eye or have some urgent business to do we’ll try our best to accommodate your needs - just contact reception. You may have to pay a small fee but we’ll try to keep the cost to a minimum – we promise.
How late can I check into the hotel?
Check-in is available 24 hours a day. If you expect to arrive after midnight, no fear our team will be waiting already to give you the key to your cosy night’s sleep.
How do I contact the front desk?

Is there somewhere I can leave my bag if arrive early, or after I check out?
Yes, we can store luggage before check-in or after check-out.
Does the hotel have Wi-Fi?
Yes, complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout all areas of the hotel including all guest bedrooms.
Are pets allowed at the hotel?
We love furry friends, but unfortunately, they’ll have to sit this one out. The exception? Guide dogs and assistance animals are always welcome—they’re the VIPs of the pet world!
What do I do if I accidentally leave some items in the hotel?
Oops, it happens to the best of us! If we find your forgotten treasures, our housekeeping team will keep them safe for up to 90 days. To reunite with your items, just reach out to reception or give us a call—we’re happy to play matchmaker!
Is the hotel reception desk open 24 hours a day?
Yes, our front desk is open 24/7.
Is the hotel accessible?
Yes, our hotel is fully accessible and our lifts have sufficient floor space to manoeuvre.
Do you sell gift vouchers?
Absolutely! Give the gift of a great stay. Just call our friendly reception team, and they’ll help you wrap up the perfect present.
Do you provide printing facilities for boarding passes?
Yes, this service is available from reception.
What are the key attractions near the hotel?
Guests can access several iconic locations easily, including the 3Arena, Aviva Stadium, Croke Park, Convention Centre, Port Tunnel, Dublin Airport, Grand Canal Theatre, and the city centre. For more tips on what’s hot and what’s not, ask our front desk team at dial 0.
Where can I find an ATM?
There are ATMs at AIB Bank (Mayor Square, IFSC), Centra, and Dunnes Stores, all just a minute’s walk from the hotel.
Location & Parking
Is there parking near the hotel?
Yes, there is parking at The Gibson Hotel at a charge. The Gibson hotel has on-site secure parking. The car park is accessed by the rear of the hotel from Sheriff Street Upper, Dublin 1.

How much do I pay for parking?
As this is a public car park there is an overnight charge for residents at a preferential rate of €20. This is payable at the hotel reception on check-out. As a hotel resident, you do not need to pre-book into the car park.
How far am I from the main shopping areas?
The two main shopping streets in Dublin are Grafton Street on the south side and Henry Street on the north side. Both streets are a 20-25-minute walk from the hotel, alternatively, you can hop on the Luas or jump in a taxi.
What are the public transport links to Dublin city?
The Gibson Hotel is centrally located in the heart of modern Dublin with transport links right on our doorstep. We are located directly across the road from the Point Square Luas stop on the red line and have numerous bus stops within a 1 or 2 minute walk of the hotel. Many of Dublin’s attractions are within easy walking distance.
Distance from Dublin Airport?
Dublin Airport is just a 15-minute car or bus ride from The Gibson Hotel via the Port Tunnel.
What is there to see and do around the hotel?

Is there a car rental station near the hotel?
Europcar is located on Spencer Dock by River Liffey. For more information, please visit Europcar website.
Is there an airport transfer service?
Yes, we have an Aircoach bus stop right outside the hotel. For more details, contact the front desk at dial 0.
How do I book a taxi or transport?
Simply call the front desk at dial 0 for a taxi, or check the timetables for local buses, trains, and trams available on request.
Rooms and Amenities
Are there smoking rooms in the hotel?
No, all our guest rooms are non-smoking and we operate a strict no smoking policy throughout the entire hotel. A deep cleaning fee will be charged to guests who are found to be in breach of our no smoking policy.
Can I get a cot for my child?
Yes, cots can be provided, subject to availability. We would recommend guests request the use of a cot at the time of making their reservation to avoid disappointment.
Is there a gym?
Yes, the gym is located on the 6th floor and is accessible 24/7 with your key card.
Is there a spa?
We do not have a spa but we do have our relaxation area located on the 6th floor. This is equipped with a sauna, steam room and outdoor Japanese copper baths. This relaxation area is open from 8am-10pm every day and is simply accessed by using your key card.
Is there a laundry service available?
Yes, please enquire at reception. Please note that additional charges are applicable.
How do I get extra pillows, blankets and amenities?
Pillows, blankets and extra amenities are available on request – just dial 0 between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm.
Do you supply travel adapters?
Yes, travel adapters can be purchased from the hotel (subject to availability).
Are there hairdryers in the bedrooms?
Yes, all our bedrooms are equipped with hair dryers.
Do you offer wheelchair accessible rooms?
We have 13 fully accessible rooms. For more information or to book one, contact reservations or the front desk at dial ext. 5050 or dial 0.
Are the hotel rooms air-conditioned?
All of our rooms are air conditioned
Do the bathrooms have a shower or bath?
Not all private bathrooms have baths. Please request in advance, subject to availability.
Does the room include tea and coffee making facilities?
There are tea and coffee making facilities in every room
Does the hotel offer wake-up calls?
To arrange your wake-up call, please call reception for assistance. Please state your room number and the time you wish to be awoken.

Is room service available?
Yes, we have room service available 24/7. Just scan the QR code displayed on the in-room dining menu, order and pay online. Please note that a tray service charge of €7 applies.
Monday-Saturday (all day menu): 12.00pm – 10.00pm.
Sunday (all day menu): 12.00pm – 9.30pm.
Late night dining (limited menu): 10.00pm – 6.00am.
Room service breakfast: 6.30am – 11.00am.
What dining options are available at the hotel?
Food is served in our Hemi Bar every day with the Coda Eatery open on concert nights only. Opening times for Hemi Bar are below:
Monday-Thursday: 10.30am – 11.30pm
Friday & Saturday: 10.30am – 12.30am
Sunday & Bank Holiday: 12.30pm – 11.00pm
Does the restaurant cater food for allergies?
Yes, Hemi Bar and Coda Eatery cater for all food allergies but please inform a member of staff for any special requests.
Is there a reservation for dinner required?
To book a table in our Coda Eatery, simply log on to Open Table or call a member of our team on 01 681 5000. There is no need to book in advance for Hemi Bar, as it is walk in only.
Do you cater for large groups? Can I book a private dining space for a special occasion?

Booking & Cancellation
Do I need a credit card to make a booking?
When making a booking online or via phone, a valid credit or debit card is required. This card is used to guarantee the booking only. An alternative card can be used to make payment at the hotel.
Will my credit/debit card be charged on booking?
When you book directly with us, nothing will be charged upfront—unless you’re booking an advance purchase offer or a deal requiring a deposit (we’ll always highlight this in the terms).
To guarantee your reservation, we may pre-authorise your card for the first night’s stay before arrival.
A pre-authorisation is just a hold, showing as a pending transaction. When you check in, we can either complete the charge or release it if you prefer to pay another way. Heads up: debit card holds can take up to 10 working days to clear, so we recommend using a credit card where possible.
Can I cancel my booking?
Please contact our reservations team on reservations@thegibsonhotel.ie. They will be able to advise based on the terms & conditions of your booking.
What is the best way to make a reservation?
To make a booking, you can book online through our website. To book the best availability rate, please contact our reservation team at reservations@thegibsonhotel.ie or call us on +353 1 681 5000.
What should I do if I haven’t received a booking confirmation?
If booking confirmation not receive, please check your spam folder or contact our reservation team at reservations@thegibsonhotel.ie.
How do I make a group or multiple room booking?
For groups larger than 10 rooms, bookings can be made through our Groups Team, please contact reservations@thegibsonhotel.ie.
Are there any age restrictions when booking a hotel room?
Under 18 years of age are restricted from making a booking.
Can I show up at the hotel without a booking?
Yes, we welcome walk-ins but please note our bedrooms our subject to availability.
Can I extend my stay?
To extend your stay, please contact the reception desk by dialling “0”. Subject to availability.
